Does anyone have a great recipe for fish?
Hello, I am female, 28 years old, California, US, and sorry I am not a gold member. Does anyone have some recipes I should try using fish. I have done fish stew and I hve coated the fish with salt and pepper with flour and then fry it. This is the only two things I have done with fish. Any good receipes out there? Thanks.

Hi, I've looked at a few asian cooking books over the years, from USA book publishers. I think the easyist is fish sushi? Making the sushi rice takes time. Just short grain rice, some sake and sugar.
The fish you slice thinly and eat raw. You can try maiing fish tempura. I use 2 day old white bread and then crunch the bread up into fine little pieces. The fish is coated in cornstarh, then egg, then the bread crumbs for a final coat. In pan with hot peanut oil, you fry the fish. Hopes this helps. From California, Eddie

Thanks,

I never eat anything raw, so I don't think I could do the sushi fish but the other thing I could try it may be next week, not sure yet. Well, I can't make fish this week again afterall I eat fish stew today, isn't that funny.

take care

wow i love salmon alot and white trout or any flaky white fish would be suitable for this dish. in ecuador in the winter times we make a stew with the flaky fish and some vegetables with harold beans or pinto beans. most soups have that butter or oil and sauteed onions base then you ass some tomatoe and paste then spices and boil beans then add veggies and put in fish. stew this for flavors to come together and thats good...also small slices of salmon in sushi way with avacodo and carrot julians etc. hand roll kind. hmm have others but tell me if this is what you are interested in...happy to help
