My method is to use your Japanese ability to increase your English ability.
For conversation lessons, it is not necessary for you to write, and we use just a little reading. Mostly we spend our time pulling the conversation out of you. I have an understanding of Japanese, so usually I know what you want to say, and I can quickly understand your mistake. After I correct your mistake, you repeat a couple of times, and then we compare your mistake with other common mistakes. It's actually very fun, and your knowledge increase more quickly this way.
