I've been helping students who want to learn Portuguese as a foreign language since 2012, actually. I like to use literature and music to help students in their learning process because in that way they can also learn about Brazilian culture. Learning about a country's culture is an important step to understand its' language. That way they can overcome any grammar difficulties, by being able to see how native speakers think when they speak something.
S o, using my acknowledge of Brazilian and Portuguese culture, I want to help my students with their fluency in the idiom.

Well, at first, I talk to the student to check how is their level of knowledge and how comfortable with the language. Then, I decide which method will be use. Normally, I add pop culture as material to keep the student update with what is happening locally, as well history and the difference between each region. |
