Hello there,
My name is Crystal and I'm really interested in learning Farsi because my partner is from Iran and I would love to be able to communicate with him in Farsi. Secondly, we will be taking a trip to Turkey this summer to see his family and I think it is important for them to be able to understand me and vice versa.
Alt hough, I am a beginner when it comes to Farsi, I do know some common words and I also watch Iranian TV shows on the GL Box.
As for the areas of the language I need to improve on, I believe I need to work on absolutely everything. When it comes to studying any topic, I find that I am a very technical person. Meaning that, I need to know the reasons behind the 'how' and 'why' when learning any subject.
W hen it comes to learning Farsi, I would like to devote as much time as possible. I truly believe, in order to be great at something, you need to practice, practice, practice, and practice some more.
As for my future teacher, I need someone who really knows their stuff, who is not afraid to tell me when I am not saying or doing something properly, and who has the patience to help me correct it. Additionally, I would like my teacher to be personable, professional, and foremost, love what they do as a teacher.
