I am just beginning in my understanding of the Thai system of writing and conversation. I have recently purchased a book by Benjawan Poomsan Becker. She says that it is important to hear the correct pronunciation , so a teacher (or tapes) are crucial.
Ear lier this year I completed a meditation course and a retreat to Intanon Mountain. I am a student of philosophy and would like to one day deepen my understanding of Thai thinking by reading and discussing Thai literature.
I am very busy with a wife & three children, a fledgling non-profit society and a health care practice but I will devote at least half an hour per day to study and practice and a 1 hour lesson per week.
I do not have a lot of money but will make this a priority. I am a registered massage therapist, skilled painter and capable mason. I offer all of these skills for barter if the teacher is agreeable. Otherwise, I will meet the fee-for-servi ce of $20/hour for beginners.

Hi,
I would like to learn Arabic and more specifically Morocan Arabic, for social purposes. It is important that i learn this language, therefore I will take it quite seriously. I am at a beginner level, however i do know the arabic alphabet and can read but with difficulty. With Ramadan on its way, its important that i start reading arabic with more ease. I am confortable with english or french speaking teachers,as long as i learn the desired language. As for the timing of the courses, i think it should be discussed once I meet with the teacher. Thank you.
