I am traveling to Shanghai in 2 weeks and would like to learn basic communication skills. I am a quick learner, and a teacher myself (music, etc.). I am a beginner learner in Mandarin. I would dedicate a couple of hours of lessons a week as well as devoting around an hour a day to learning. A teacher should be fun, patient, and passionate about what they are doing. As a seasoned teacher myself, I can see through the teachers who are just trying to 'BS' their way through.

I am learning Russian because I have been to Russia (Moscow) twice, the first time for two weeks and the second time this past summer for six weeks. I fell in love with the language and the people, and I would love nothing more than to be able to communicate with them better.
I am a beginner in Russian. I know the alphabet and certain words and phrases.
I feel I need improvement in most areas. Grammar is something I definitely need some improvement in. I would love to be able to converse in russian. I would also like to improve my written russian.
I'm a University student, but I am fully committed to spending around 3 hours a week on learning the Russian Language.
I am looking for the best environment possible to learn as much Russian as I can. I am planning to return to Russia in the summer of 2010 and I am hoping to be able to better communicate with all the life long friends I have made there.
