I lived in Seoul for nine years and studied on and off for about 1 1/2 years. I've been back in the States for about 8 months and my Korean ability has really begun to slip. When I left Korea, I would say I was an upper intermediate speaker.I would like to meet someone to study and converse with.
I would like to meet once or twice a week for a total of 2-4 hours.

I am hoping to begin learning Tagalog while I finish my undergrad studies in Boston in the next 13 months.
My primary reasons for wanting to learn are 1) aesthetic - I find Tagalog to be a beautiful-sou nding language. I would love to be able to not only speak, but also write music in Tagalog; and 2) I am considering doing missions work in the Phillippines in the next few years, and would like to be at least familiar, if not fluent, in Tagalog for that purpose.
I am hoping to devote up to 6 or 8 hours (including independent preparation, aside from lessons) per week to my study of Tagalog.
I am looking most of all for a teacher who is personable and patient.

I certainly am a beginner; I have never been exposed to Chinese. Since I plan to take it this fall during my freshman year of college at the University of Texas at Austin I would like to get a jump-start on learning Chinese. I am looking for an introduction to the language, both spoken and written, and a patient, enthusiastic teacher who has a passion for Chinese.

I am a beginner learning Mandarin Chinese, I have been teaching myself so I know a few basics but I feel I could benefit much more with a teacher. I am engaged to a Chinese girl to be married soon, she speaks English and I so would like to learn her native language (she currently still lives in Fuzhou, I have been there two times). I work during the day, so evening or weekend classes would suite me best.
