I am a beginner trying to learn Japanese. My interest is purely for fun, but I intend to become fluent after years of study and practice. At this point I'm casually seeking an inexpensive personal tutor who can guide me, give me homework, answer my questions, and generally be a mentor as I learn the basics of the language. My ideal tutor would give me many things to work on in between our meetings. I have already memorized the Hiragana, and I am working on the Katakana and some Kanji. Still, I need lots of work, especially in vocabulary, and Kanji. I'm willing to dedicate as much time as possible to really get ahead in the language. Thanks! :)

Quite simply, I love languages. This is my main reason for learning Arabic, which I began studying a year and a half ago. Although I have studied other languages for over half my life, my pursuits have recently shifted entirely to Arabic. I love to teach, and my goal is ultimately to teach Arabic myself. Unfortunately , certain logistics have resulted in the slowing of my learning. I particularly require more opportunities to converse, in addition to reading and listening activities at and beyond my skill level, which is at the end of the elementary stage. I believe that conversation will solidify my vocabulary, which I require more than anything else. I am looking for a tutor who can provide several hours of personal tutoring a week. Evenings are best.

I took four years of spanish in high school, but never got to a fluent level. Now things are fuzzy. I want to be a fluent speaker to be able to serve the spanish speaking population as a physician when I get back from medical school. Also, it will make me more competitive in the workplace. Hello to all prospective teachers. This May I will be graduating from college and seeking a career in the public sector. The agency I am trying to attain a position in requires some foriegn language proficiency, specificaly spanish. Unfortantely, I know very little, having only taken one course in highschool. I would like to begin tutoring this summer once the semester has ended, which will allow more time for learning. I would perfer to have the lessons once or twice a week, depending on driving distance. My goal is to have an intermediate understanding of both grammatical and conversationa l spanish.
