Hello,
I am a beginner level speaker with no experience with Mandarin. I am presently looking into a possible career change that would include a move to China. Although I am interested in grammar and writing, my main focus is to become functionally conversationa l. I am hoping to spend 2-4 hours per week with my lessons, depending on my tutor's availability. I am looking for a tutor who will push me, but will understand I have no experience with the language. I would also like a teacher who will be able to evaluate my potential with this language.

Dear Language teacher'
I am very eager to learn Dutch with the help/instruct ion of a professional. For many years I have had close friends who speak Dutch and I would love to show my respect for their culture by being able to have everday conversations with them in their native tongue. I am intrigued by the language, and want to learn the language but have found it challenging to find consistent help or feedback close to home.
My desire to learn the language is not a passing fancy.
At this time my weekly schedule will accomodate a routine of an hour of telephone lesson and daily homework practice. It would be most convenient if lessons could be via telephone. I can start lessons as early as the first week of September or any time conveniently close to that. I do not object to arranging in person meetings as the instructor sees fit.
I look forward to hearing from you and thank you kindly for your attention to my request for assistance.

I just got married last December and my husband is Korean. We had a Korean wedding in Korea in December, and will be having the American wedding in September. Most of his family does not speak English. I want to learn the Korean language and customs so that I can communicate with my new family, as well as observe and respect the culture.
Spanish is my first language, but I speak English fluently. I love learning languages and majored in French, as well as spent a semester in France. I would love to learn Korean as well. My husband and I hope to raise our kids speaking Korean, Spanish, and English, and it would help if I spoke Korean as well. We also want them to know and understand both Korean and Puerto Rican customs.
I am a beginner, and know only a couple basic phrases, and some customs. I would like lessons that teach conversationa l Korean and Korean customs. Maybe someone who could meet once or twice a week with me. I am looking for a teacher who is patient and is eager and enthusiastic about teaching Korean, both the language and culture. I am very excited. I can't wait to start learning and one day be able to call my mother in law and speak to her in Korean.
