Greetings,
My name is ken horn and I am interested in learning to speak russian. I am planning a trip to Europe in the next year or so, and I would like to visit russia. The first step for me is to learn to speak the language.
I bought a learning cd and I am having problems with the pronunciation and I would really like to know the meaning of the words as well. Not just how speak certain phrases but how to have an intelligent conversation with a russian person and speak fluently eventually.
I have been trying to learn the alphabet as well, but it is a little confusing for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am looking for face to face lessons, it does not have to be one on one, it can be in a class room sitting. I just need help.
I would be much appreciative if you could send me a list of the tuition costs. I am willing to put a considerable amount of time and money into learning russian, I am not rich but I want to learn. I am very serious about this. I want my teacher to understand that I am a beginner. I do not have a basic grasp of the language yet and to be patient with me. I am going to give this 110% but I need help.

Wanting to learn the language because I will be visiting Veitnam in a year or so...also so that I can speak it with my mother..I want to suprize her that i can speak her language. I want to learn the grammer, converstation and even the slang if possible...I want to dedicate atleast 3 days a week I am lookin for a teacher that knows slang and terms in everyday..sin ce i will be visting the country soon..so I won't look like a tourist..I am willing to negotiate pay because this is important to me..I want to learn more about my heritage

Japanese is the language that I always wanted to learn since I was little. But I never had the chance to, from goign to Chinese school to learning piano. And now I have time and I think I will enjoy it very much. I only know SOME words in Japanese, and I would take as much time as possible to learn all I need from this paticular language.
