My name is Jonathan, and I am an undergraduate student at Liberty University. I have very little knowledge of the language, but I am very interested and excited about pursuing studies in order to speak and write efficiently. The reason I am interested in learning arabic is to open up the opportunities for a career after schooling. I am interested in partaking in either Middle Eastern studies or foreign policy for graduate school, and having a residency within the D.C. metro area I understand the level of inportance for acquiring such a dialect. I am looking for someone who is willing to work with me two to three times a week for over the summer, and either through computer based communication or throughout breaks and weekends during the fall and spring semesters while I am away at school. It is but only a 3 hour drive from my University, so even meeting on weekends every so often would be fine. I am very dedicated and committed to pursuing this, and the price per session is not a problem. In the lessons, I am not looking for anything paticularly yet because of my lack of knowledge concerning the subject. I would feel very confident if I could achieve the basic grammer, reading and writing for over the summer (if not more) and then work with conversation and translation. I am more than willing to pick up any outside materials that would be beneficial to the course, and on my honor I will do my best to work with the teacher on all aspects. I want to learn Farsi as a language requirement for a PhD program in English Literature -- it requires two languages, one is Urdu (my native tongue) and the second, Farsi, which I need to learn well enough to read any text with some level of proficiency. It is better if the potential teacher has an academic background.

I am certainly considered to be at the beginner level. I have moderate fluency in Spanish and I am currently working on increasing my ability in that languge. I desire to learn Urdu for career advancement. I currently have one semester left of undergraduate studies, but I am looking for ways to begin my study in Urdu. Hello,
I am a beginner. I have some knowledge of saying from learning while I was in Myanmar.
I am seeking a person or persons versed in the Burmese language. I am open to private or study classes. I am wishing to extend my knowledge with this language. I have many friends there in Myanmar. I am ready to learn: letters and numbers, vocabulary and sentence structure. Please feel free to contact me. I am a morning person most of the time. I will however move time around to suit your particular needs. I have hope to devote atleast 10 hours a week toward advancing.
