I have never had classroom instructions in Brazilian Portuguese, but I have many friends that are from Brazil and I have been learning quite a bit from them. So far, I can write and understand much more than I can speak...but I think it's just because I need to know more vocabulary before I can be confident enough to speak. I am a full time student at a university, but I really would like to become fluent so that I can speak to my friends and family because not all of them speak English.
I want a teacher who will provide weekly or daily exercises/hom ework for me to do and who will be patient in explaining to me why my mistakes are mistakes.

I am a military service member who is interested in becoming more proficient in Arabic both for career advancement and personal interest. I have been studying a modern standard Arabic textbook for several months now but realize that with out assistance from an actual teacher I can only get so far with pronunciation and speaking. I would need a tutor who is flexible with times as I am occasionally away or participating in various exercises. I am usually able to dedicate 2-4 hours per week away from my instructor to my personal studies. I am looking for a teacher to meet with once every 1-2 weeks to work on my verbal skills and assist me with grammatical questions that I come across in my studies.

W hy Learn: I have lived in Hong Kong and have a reputation as a strong international marketer. However, despite my experience in Asia, I do not have command of the Chinese language
A reas: I am interested in conversationa l Chinese. Typically I have a translator with for business transactions. However, I would like to be able to do some basic conversing while overseas.
Time: I can dedicate 2 hours a week at least, but probably not more than 4 hours a week.
