I have always had a strong desire to learn a second language, but found that conventional teaching, in a classroom setting could only advance what I learned to a certain point. Both at the high school and university level.
I strongly desire to become competent at conversationa l Norwegian, to which I am certainly a beginner. I have however been studying Bokmål vocabulary and grammar for nearly a year and a half. I am able to do some reading of the language and can usually get the general meaning of simple writing. Most headlines I see on newspaper websites I can understand. I would guess that my pronunciation is poor as I have never been able to practice it with someone who could correct me.
I would like to practice conversation and grammar, and am willing to devote 3-5 hours a week on this.

I have a strong interest in learning Gujarti because I wish to pass it on to my son. I am a beginner with basic speaking abilities and letter recognition in writing. I am also able to understand most conversationa l dialogues. Please help me find an excellent teacher. I have no time limit to learn. I am interested in several languages. Currently studying Russian and Greek for personal reasons. I am a beginner in both. I would like to become more conversationa lly skilled, then I can work on grammar and move toward more advanced usage. This summer my hours for study are more limited, but I'd like to meet for 1.5-3 hrs per week if available. I'm looking for someone who can help me converse, not just give me lists of words and rules of grammar.
