My mother is Chinese and growing up I have been able to learn simple conversationa l Cantonese. I am pursuing instruction to improve my Cantonese with the goal of eventually becoming fully fluent.
My proficiency level in speaking Cantonese is beginner, with little to no reading/writi ng Chinese skills.

Hello, my name is Brett and I wish to be able to speak, read, and write the language of Slavic. I wish to travel to Croatia in the future, and also to be able to talk to friends over seas as well as here in Canada. My current level of Croatian is at the beginner level. Conversation is the most important to me to learn, but also reading conversation in messages is very important as well. I will dedicate as much time as is needed to speak fluent Croatian. I wanted to learn an orient language because I have always been interested in Japan's, China's, and Korea's culture and language. and I am particularly interested in learning Korean because that seems to be the place I'm most interested in. I am a beginner I basically no knowledge in Korean , i plan on spending a lot of time studying Korean language. I would like a patient and willing teacher. I wish to learn Russian as preparation for an eventual student exchange program in Russia. I holistically acknowledge the complex grammar and spelling of the language and thus am pressed to learn Russian while my brain is still young and capable of doing such.
I am a complete novice, save the phonetic alphabet which I have started to ease into. I although prefer addressing the lessons to the oral or verbal branch. In other terms, I aim for fluency when conversing.
My schedule is quite flexible and I will willingly adapt to yours. My ideal though would consist of weekly meetings, an hour or two in duration.
On the teacher's part, I only search for patience and open-mindedne ss.
