I am learning greek to become proficient at conversation. Some close friends and in-laws live there, and I really want to be able to speak with them without the use of a translator. I would say that I am a beginner, as I know some speech, but am struggling with grammar, tense, and gender articles. I would be looking to dedicate between 2-3 hours a week. My teacher just needs to be explanatory, as I ask a lot of questions, and work with me in repetition, and checking for clarity and understanding !

I am a Vietnamese-Am erican. I have fluently spoke Vietnamese for the first 5 years of my life but when I started to go to school, I began to forget Vietnamese and learn more English. Although it is beneficial for me to be fluent in English since I do live in America, it's important for me to maintain my Vietnamese and not forget the language my mother has spoken for nearly all her life. I'm slowly, but surely, forgetting Vietnamese as time go on with schooling and getting by from a day to day basis here in America. I understand more than I can speak it. I am a beginner-inte rmediate on the leek deficiency and am looking for a teacher who can help me get better to the point where I can have a thoughtful, in depth conversation with my parents or as to anyone that is Vietnamese.
