Hello, my name is Sam. I’m studying capoeira in California and with that I’m becoming extremely fascinated with Brazilian culture. I have been studying Portuguese for a while now and I’m probably just barely an intermediate. I’d like to spend most of my lessons in conversation where some narrative is built. I’d like to dedicate 1.5-2 hours per week to learning this way. A quality I would like in a teacher include a touch of creativity and willingness to go outside the box.

Hello! I want to learn Brazilian Portuguese because the culture is something I admire and want to eventually experience on my own. History I have with the language consist of Duolingo and a little experience in a self-teaching Portuguese book. I am definitely a beginner and want to be able to talk semi fluently with Brazil natives! I am willing to dedicate as much time as needed to improve in the language. However, I am in college so availability might vary. I'm looking for patience with me. Pronunciation is the most important thing for me.
