I had weekly French lessons in elementary school, daily lessons in middle and high school, and a 'Field Trip' to France in the seventh grade. I have not had any French instruction in about 4 years now, and would like to become as fluent as possible in order to move to France for a while. I will need a refresher of sorts, but learn very quickly. My biggest problem when I was studying, was irregular verb conjugation.
I am seeking a private tutor (so that I can learn on my own pace) in either the Seattle or Tacoma area. I will dedicate as much time as you have available.

I am just a begginer in Italian.I am currently using the pimsluer Italian 1 audio lessons. I plan to visit Italy sometime in September or October of this year and would like to be as close to fluent as possible in the language when I go.
As of right now I would say the areas I need most attention on is writting and reading Italian.
I would be able to dedicate an hour daily with an instrutor, possibly more on the weekends.
I would prefer that the instructor is a native speaker but would consider someone who is not.

Proficiency level in both Hindi and Telegu - Beginner.
Why I wish to learn these languages - My wife's family speaks both languages and I would like to be able to communicate more effectively with them. As a K-12 librarian and an academic-libr arian-in-train ing, there is also the possibility that fluency in Hindi and Telegu will contribute to my career advancement.
Areas in which I need improvement - All.
Time I wish to dedicate to lessons - 1 to 2 hours a week for the lessons themselves. I expect to study/practic e five to ten hours a week.
Qual ities I'm looking for in teacher - I'm looking for someone who not only knows the language(s) I wish to learn but also knows how to teach them. I'm also looking for someone who will not only teach me how to converse and read the Hindi and Telegu scripts, but who also isn't afraid to delve into grammar lessons. As a former EFL teacher overseas and an English teacher in the States, I have a fairly good grasp of English grammar and learn foreign languages best when grammar is integrated into my lessons.

Advanced Intermediate
My strengths are conversation, comfort with language, pronunciation and accent.
My weaknesses are reading and writing and dormant vocabulary due limited use of language.
Li ved and worked in Yucatan Mexico 2 years 1978-1980 after studying spanish for 6 months in Costa Rica.
Need grammer review, vocabulary expansion.
I am interested in reading proficiency but for everyday language in many subjects. Am not interested at this time working on literature type of studies.
I'd like to see if I can develop my proficiency to a level that would allow me to pass a proficiency test to become a medical interpreter.
I am a registered nurse and have used medical spanish with workteams in Central America but consider my vocabulary to be limited.
My schedule is flexible. I prefer private lessons unless others in group have similiar proficiency and needs.
For example, when I first speak many consider me to be fluent in spanish because my ease of speech, accent and overall grammer is quite good. It is necessary for conversations to get more at depth for the deficiencies in my vocabulary and grammer to become evident. I have taken college courses but am usually underchalleng ed in the classroom because most of my classmates could read spanish but not speak it.
