I would like to learn Icelandic because I want to travel to Iceland. I would like to have a grasp at the language so that I have an easier, and more enjoyable experience trying to find my way around the country.
I don't have a set date as to when I would be having this trip (1-3 years??), so the learning timeframe is not an issue. I would like to start learning Icelandic as soon as possible however, because I have the free time to dedicate to it and I would enjoy a new challenge.
O ther than working during the week, I can dedicate the rest of my schedule to learning the language. Weekends would be preferable for classes.
I learned French in school from grade 7-10 so I have some concept of learning a new language.
In order of importance I would like to be able to speak, read, and lastly write Icelandic.
