I am a beginner (I have absolutely no previous experience with Russian). I hope to learn enough Russian to continue on with it in College and I am willing to dedicate up to 5 times a week for lessons. I am looking for a teacher that is Russian and one who will teach me the language properly (as it would be spoken in Russia).

I would like to continue my studies of the Russian language for professional reasons and out of personal interest. I have taken Russian previously and I can read and write in Russian. However, I have forgotten a lot of vocabulary and I need a lot of help with grammar. I wouldn't consider myself a beginner, but I am definitely not very advanced. I am looking for a flexible teacher and I would like to have two lessons per week.

Need to start from a beginner's level
Reas ons for wanting to learn the language
1 . Russian
On e of the writers who has made a profound impact on my life is Fyodor Dostoevsky. While I have read most of his key works in English, would want to investigate them in the language in which he wrote - Russian.
2 . Chinese & Tibetan
My current philosophical learnings are toward Mahayana Buddhism and Taoism. Specifically, have been reading Nagarjuna's thesis on Shunyata and the works of Lao Tzu, Chuang Tzu and Lieh Tzu. Would like to further my understanding through reading the actual chinese texts(transla ted from Sanskrit by Kumarajiva et al) and tibetan ones on Buddhism.
Also, want to learn chinese from the point of view of it being a pictoral language.
Depending on the kind of teacher I am able to find, would study one of these threee languages
