Currently I have no real knowledge of the japanese language. The reason i wish to lean japanese is as a way of expanding my multicultural ism. Eventually when I have finished high school I wish to go into teaching as a profession( biology and english)recen tly i have been tossing around the idea in my head of one day maybe going to japan to teach english to anyone who wishes. I am a beginner of both Japanese and Thai, I have had a small introduction to both languages and would like to continue my studies of the two. Asian languages and cultures fascinate me a lot, so I am real motivated to learn both Japanese and Thai. My long-term goal is to become fluent in both languages no matter how long it takes me.
I am willing to devote ample amount of time to each language. I just finished a 6-week Japanese class that met once a week, and I am disappointed to say I am taking very little away from that experience. As for my Thai study, I met a college student who is from Thailand and is attending college here and is teaching me basic conversationa l Thai as a cultural language exchange. Now I am looking for tutors who can help me expand from where I am at now.
What I am looking for in an instructor is someone who is not just expecting to be my tutor but also my friend. Someone who really wants to see me succeed in my goal of learning the language.
