Description |
I am a designer and usually have projects in Japan several times a year, plus as well as working there I love visiting Japan to see friends and to experience the culture. I am not a natural linguist, I can make myself understood in Japanese, but can't keep a conversation going for long. I have the basics, and my dream is that one day I will be fluent. I need a lot of help! I'd like to do maybe a couple of lessons a week. I will be visiting Japan in June and August 2010, so perhaps a crash course right now would be a good idea! Conversation is my immediate goal.

Description |
I am currently learning Japanese because I would like to teach English in Japan. I don't want to move to another country and be incompetent about their language. I only know greetings at this point, however, I can sometimes understand certain words. I know my numbers as well. I definitely would like to improve my grammar and penmanship. And the time I would like to spend is however much I need to read, write, and speak the Japanese language. I'm looking for a teacher who won't mind answering all my questions about reading, writing and speaking the language.

I would like to learn Japanese, because I plan on going there for a vacation in the near future. I am a beginner, I have a book for Japanese but it helps very little. Area of improvement is pretty much everything. Not sure how much time for lessons but i would say about 1 or 2 hours a day, about 3 days a week or so. I would like a teacher that can teach me more than I know already, that can help me understand sentence structures etc... for speaking to others. I would like to get to a point where I can watch a Japanese show (Anime or actual game shows) and understand what they are saying.

Description |
I just finished my undergrad career at Grand Valley State University. While there I studied Japanese for 2 years. They are finally starting a 3rd year language proficiency called advance intermediate Japanese 301. While taking the class I ranked 3rd amongst all her students for 4 semesters straight. Unfortunately , I haven't studied the language in 2 years so my grammar, conversation and Kanji knowledge has dwindled, I can however, recognize the Kanji that I knew and I can still read Hiragana and Katakana. I am looking for someone who can help me recover my lost knowledge as well as push me further in understanding and application. My goal is to become fluent in the language after intensive study by the time I am 30 years old. I love worksheets, puzzles and just about everything that I can get my hands on. I even have a few literature books for a independent study course that was canceled last minute. I am a very fast learner who wants to dedicate at least 3-4 hours a week, possibly more once I get a steady job, to personal lessons and another 3-4 hours of my own studying. I am looking for a flexible teacher who is willing to go an extra mile for me. I would also prefer a teach who is fun and serious at the same time. Someone from Japan is preferred because I plan on getting my master's degree in Asian Pacific Studies at Ristumeikan Daigaku in a few years.

Description |
I am learning foreign languages (Japanese first) to aid in my future career in law enforcement. I am a beginner- which means I can barely say hello correctly. I am willing to dedicate hours to learning Japanese and all other subsequent foreign languages on my list. I am looking for a teacher that was born surrounded by the language they are teaching. Not an American person who went to college and learned it. I feel better learning Japanese from a person who grew up speaking Japanese in their household. I apologize if this is in any way offensive.
