I wish to find a teacher to help a friend of mine learn English. She lives in Bien Hoa and can read and write English very well. She would like to learn to speak and understand English. She may come to the USA at some point in the future and would like to be able to fully communicate. Additionally, I may be interested in learning Vietnamese. I have been able to learn to write very small amounts in Vietnamese, but I can not speak or understand any. I will move to HCMC at the end of January 2005. I already speak fluent English, French, and Mandarin Chinese, and I learn languages relatively quickly. I will devote near-full-tim e to learning Vietnamese for the first few months after my arrival in Vietnam. I am looking for an intensive tutor during that time. My schedule will be very flexible. We could even start online before I arrive in Vietnam. I have started learning from books, but I am essentially a beginner. I am a 30 year old American man. I have lived in the U.S., France, and China, and I hope my Vietnamese language skills will enable me to experience life in Vietnam more fully.
