Description |
*My level in Korean is beginner (I can read/write/sa y simple sentences with effort, need more vocabulary and speaking/list ening practice)
*I'm learning Korean mostly for enjoyment, I love learning foreign languages. But it's also for future career use as an interpreter/t ranslator, as I figure it's more advantageous in terms of competitivene ss to be able to use as many languages as possible. And, I'm also very interested in Korea/Korean people, and I hope to travel (maybe live?) there someday!
* I pretty much need improvement in all areas, but especially conversation and listening!
*Time for lessons: I'm thinking about at least 1-2 hours a week.
*Qua lities in teacher: kind, patient, friendly, careful about correcting mistakes, tries to speak only Korean as much as possible to help with language immersion!
PS: If possible (but not an absolute must), I would like to have a Korean teacher who speaks Japanese(if possible, perfect/fluen tly). This is because I speak/underst and Japanese, and I would like the teacher to explain about Korean in Japanese (when I can't understand in Korean) instead of English, since Japanese is much more similar to Korean than English in terms of grammar, expressions, pronounciatio n and other areas.

Description |
I'm a begginner at chinese and korean. I take Mandarin Chinese in school. I have also bought beginner's korean and chinese books from book stores around town. But, I haven't learned any Japanese. I am completely serious about learning these languages.
I want to be an english teacher in either China, South Korea, or Japan, not all three. I'm very serious about learning these languages, I'm just not sure about which language I'm truly passionate about. I have only a few months until I graduate from high school. I'm going to junior college first for two years, and then transfer to a university nearby. But it's unbelievably difficult to find a junior college that offers a Mandarin Chinese, Korean, or Japanese course in Texas. If I go to a junior college with no classes in these three languages, I need to learn Mandarin Chinese, Korean or Japanese somehow.
I'm on my last year in high school, and this year, they have finally added mandarin chinese as a foreign language option. Unfortunately , since I'm graduating from high school in a few months, I won't be able to continue learning chinese. The area in which I need to improve on in my Chinese would have to be pronouncing the tones.
I would like to take lessons when I graduate, and I wouldn't mind spending maybe two or three times a week on my lessons. The time doesn't really matter. I'll spend five hours there. More, if I need to.
I'm looking for a teacher who will truly help me to learn these languages.
Once again, I'm looking for someone who can teach me EITHER Mandarin Chinese, Korean, or Japanese. I'm not looking for a teacher to teach me all three at once, unless there is one who can.
