I want to learn Tagalog because it interests me, and at the same time, my environment is surrounded with Filipinos. and i thought of continuing my studies in The Phillippines. I think my proficiency level is beginner even though i know how to speak a few sentences. However i don't know if the grammar used is correct or the sentence constructed is right. I think i'll have 2 hours per session, and 2 days per week. I am looking for a teacher who can really turn me into a Filipino by the way i converse be it writing or speaking, and would really educate me not based on money, but has the spirit of a teacher.

Hi
i am trying to learn Tagalog, i have a Filipina girlfriend and am planning to move to the Philippines next year. I work abroad and am in the UK for just over 2 weeks and want to get as many lessons in as possible in those 2 weeks from 11th September - 26th September. I have been learning some but now need to link all the words i know together to form sentences.

I'm going over to the Philippines to live & to work next year. I'm at the beginner level, but I want to be able to converse quite well by the time I leave for the Philippines, even if I can get by just that little bit better than average then I will be happy. I mainly need to be able to learn, and then speak in Tagalog to be able to hold conversations with other Filipinos etc, but in time I'd love to learn all of the grammar side of it as-well.. I've actually got a lot of free time to be able to study and learn Tagalog to be honest with you, in-fact I'm readily available 7 days a week at the moment. I'm just looking to have a patient and understanding tutor who's very experienced in teaching the main language of the Philippines (Tagalog). I'd really like my teacher to be an enthusiastic person in their style of teaching, and I also wouldn't mind if I was to learn Tagalog in a class full of other people who were willing to learn Tagalog as-well, I'm just desperate to study and learn as much as I can really. I'm hard-working, dedicated & committed in my desire to learn Tagalog.
