being a minority in the town that i grew up in, and my family doing their best to implement me easily into the way of life in Canada, the school system, and to better my education,the y felt best that the English and French language become my primary languages. Now that I have forgotten my mother tongue, and established strong skills in both french and english, i want to learn my mother tongue, for myself and to teach my children. I feel it is important to not forget where you come from and to keep those roots.

Greetings! I would like to learn Moroccan Arabic as my husband and I are moving there in a few months with our 2 year old daughter. I am a certified elementary school teacher here in Orlando and I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from UCF, so I have no doubt that I will be able to secure a teaching position there. I would like to learn conversationa l Moroccan Arabic (Darija). The qualities I am looking for in a language teacher are patience, enthusiasm and a native speaker of Darija. I don't think I have time to learn to write it - I have a toddler at home, so that might prove to be too time consuming! I would just like to communicate with my family in Fes. Thanks!
