I am 23 years old.
I studied German at school when I was 13 for 3 months
I would consider myself a beginner although I have retained a lot of information from then.
I am currently wishing to learn German as I am planning to go to Switzerland in the future for a vacation and although Swiss German is spoken I will at least be able to understand and converse with people there.

I want to learn thai because a thai friend at school chellenged me to. He claimed it would be too hard for me and I want to proove him wrong.
So far I know a handful of basic thai words, and some very basic grammar. I cannot read the language at all because I was raised on the damn silly roman script. It is coming up on the end of the school year, so I can dedicate as much time as is required to learning the Thai language.

I am very interested in learning Chinese. I have learnt other languages with varying levels of success in my travels and at university, and now I have decided to take on something much harder. I've been studying on my own for about a year (with some help from my Chinese-speak ing workmates), and have done a beginner's course at a university.
I want to get past beginner's level, with lots of conversation and vocabulary, some grammar, and some help with characters, in a small class or one on one. I want to dedicate up to 6 or 8 hours per week to learning.
