I am a beginning level japanese language student. I lived in Japan for three years, and I would love to become fluent in the language. I studied Shorei Kan Goju Ryu in Miyakonojyo Shi, Miyazaki Ken.

Eight years ago I lived in Osaka for two years teaching English. I did not formally study Japanese at that time, but now I am beginning to learn to speak it. The company I now work for requires me to become proficient in Japanese. I will be living in Japan long-term. I am looking for a female teacher twice a week, 1.5 hours each time, to come to my home. For the approach I am taking to learn Japanese, these are the requirements of a prospective teacher: Needs to understand English fairly well, but does not necessarily have to speak it well. Needs to be patient, relaxed, not in a hurry. Be able to show me both the polite and casual way of speaking Japanese. I will pay for the teacher's transportatio n as well as tutoring time, but the teacher must live near Bentencho.
