I am looking for a Bahasa Indonesia teacher.
I'm learning partially for my own pleasure (I love Indonesia) and partially for career advancement (I'm a journalist and would one day like to work overseas as a correspondent ).
I'm of about intermediate level, although there are definitely some gaps in my knowledge. I lived in Indonesia for three years, but I have been back in Sydney since March and I am worried that I am beginning to forget everything I learned.
I would need general help in grammar, conversation and writing. I have a few text books, and would be quite happy to just work through them and meet with a teacher once a week for an hour to look at my 'homework' and then do some conversation work. I'm also happy to talk online, but would ideally like to be able to meet face-to-face at least once every two weeks.

My office is sending students for foreign schoolings in other countries who delivers their instruction through their respective local languages. The countries include Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Spain, Brunei, Korea and Singapore. Our selected candidates for the courses offered by foreign countries are all beginners on the dialects of the country that they are selected to go for schooling. Our desire for our candidates is for them to be able to understand and translate into the english or tagalog language the laguage of the foreign country and and able to converse with their co-students and teachers. In this case, we are about to send students in Indonesia hence, we require them to learn the Bahasa Indonesia prior to attending the course. The Short Course consisting of 30 hours of instruction will do.

I know a few basic indonesian words but that's it. trying to improve and be able to construct sentences to handle basic situations. i have an indonesian girlfriend and we visit her family fairly frequently in jakarta and that's the main reason for wanting to learn the language.
