I am a beginner.The reasons for learning are : I want to enjoy the literature in this language,whic h can only be done if I am proficient in reading and writing the language.
As I will be starting from the beginning, the grammar and conversation is fairly important for me.
I can dedicate everyday 2.00 hrs, every alternate day to the language lessons. I am leaving one day in between to practise the previous day's lesson.
Pref erably I would like to have a lady teacher based in south Delhi.

I am very interested in learning to speak urdu as soon as possible, which is very important to me because I need to be able to communicate in urdu to various people, especially in Pakistan. I am willing to spend one hour with you on the phone two or three times a week.
I am looking for a teacher who can speak english as well as urdu.

I was born in Pakistan, but moved to Canada when I was 7 years old. I have retained some Urdu, but feel that I am still a bit of a beginner.
I would love to master the language once again so that I may converse with my family back home, especially the older generations that do not understand English. I am looking to improve most on conversation skills and understanding . I am not concerned with writing, but rather to be able to have conversations comfortably with Urdu speaking people.
I am willing to dedicate as much time as needed to feel comfortable in Urdu speaking. I do, however, work full time and thus will need to study in the evenings.
As far as qualities I am looking for in a teacher, I would like someone patient and experienced. I am eager to learn, and would like someone who would be very supportive and encouraging.
