Well, I met a polish person a bout a year ago and had a brief conversation with them but through that I was like ... Hey I don't know much about Poland and the Polish so I read a Polish history book ( I like to learn new things) and through that I have become facinated by the Polish and have fallen in love with the culture and began teaching myself Polish. It is very hard but I am doing ok I think I can recognize like 50 to 100 words now and really want to be able to speak the laguage but with out someon to teach me and make sure I am saying the words right I really have no idea so I now am in search of classes or soemthing to teach me Polish and I would like to some day visit there.

Hello I am a female student who is looking for an Arabic tutor. I have taken two levels of Arabic at Monroe Community College and I was previously tutored at Rochester Institute of Technology. Monroe community college is not offering the next level of Arabic this semester but I would still like to continue my Arabic learning. I have plans to eventually become an arabic interpreter and I think that one on one tutoring would be a great way to become familiar with the language. I am interested in meeting once a week for 30 minutes to an hour in a public place, a female tutor would be preferable. I would vary much like planned out and organized lessons. Basic conversation, grammar and vocabulary are the areas I would like to work on.

I am a United States Army sergeant, I have just returned home from a twelve month tour in Iraq. While serving in Iraq I provided health care to both detention facility internees and Iraqi Corrections Officers. During my time there I have learned to speak and understand the language enough to hold a medical screen and take medical history. Since it is very early in my contract I believe that I will be doing another tour in Iraq in the upcoming years, If not I would like to volunteer for a tour as an interpreter and if that's not possible, I would at least like to understand what my patients complaints are a little clearer. I am not working right now, I am staying home with my daughter so I will be available several hours a day for private lessons. I am looking for a teacher that is familiar with the customs and slang of the Iraqi culture, if not a native of the country.
