I'm interested in learning Hindi to advance my professional and personal development. I took about two years of beginner lessons beginning in 2010, learning the basics of Devanagari script and Hindi vocabulary. So I have some basic comprehension , but am not proficient enough to have a conversation or even really put a proper sentence together. I'd like an hour of lessons each week to help me build a reasonable level of verbal and written proficiency over a year or two.

I want to learn Hindi because I plan on one day visiting India and would like to know at least the basics. I am a beginner and I know very little about the language. I would like to take lessons once or twice a week, for however long it will take me to hold a conversation with a native speaker. I'm looking for a teacher who will be patient with me since I am a complete novice. I am also a college student (I'm approaching my senior year) so studying will not be a problem for me.

I have been studying Hindi and Sanskrit for more than one year, in order to aid in understanding the scriptures I am reading. I am a yoga teacher and it would help to understand what I am teaching in its original language. I can read and write in both languages, yet on an elementary level.
I am also married to a Bengali man and would love to have conversations with him and his family in their native tongue.
I can follow conversation well, yet when speaking I become nervous and stumble to find words. Conversation would be the area in which I would like to advance in, as well as, grammar. I would love to learn to speak like a native.
The hours I am dedicated to learning are between 2-8 hours a week.
I am seeking a teacher who is patient, yet firm in their teaching method.
