I am very interested in the Icelandic language. At the moment, I´m studying Icelandic at Háskóli Islands. I want to deepen my knowledge by taking private lessons under supervision of a teacher. Mostly, I want to learn to speak Icelandic better but I would also like to write and have my texts corrected. I am willing to take several lessons during this spring term, perhaps one lesson a week. I want a proficient teacher who tries to find out the strengths of the student, but otherwise, I prefer the traditional way of learning.

Hi :)
I am spending around 6 months in Akureyri, Iceland and am looking to pick up Icelandic. Learning a new language is something I have always wanted to do and Icelandic seems perfect for me and am 100% dedicated. I have been here 2 weeks and have picked up the basics so far but still have a fairly long way to go. I'm looking to get a couple of lessons per week, hopefully in person. I'm flexible with times and days so whenever is best for you is good for me. Basically looking to be able to have a decent conversation in Icelandic, I understand that takes time and effort but i'm ready to start!
