I am looking for a Mandarin teacher for my 6 years old son. He currently attends a Mandarin school one day a week. I, however, do not think that is sufficient exposure to the language for him to grasp it. Thus, I am looking for a patient, committed, encouranging and qualified teacher who is willing to tutor my son twice a week at a reasonable and realistic price.
I would appreciate if you could contact me as soon as possible, as I am eager to get my son started on learning the language.

I am pretty much a beginner in learning cantonese and mandarin. Pretty much all of the basic grammar I know, has come from friends help.
I got interested in learning Cantonese from a long time ago, mainly because of my cantonese/man darin speaking friends influence; and later got interested into a deeper level. I recently travelled to hong kong and mainland china. Needlessto say , I had such a great time, but there was only one limitation... which was of course the language. I personally think i could have had a perfect time if only i could speak the language. Knowing cantonese and mandarin will definitely help my career in the future, because I am studying International Affairs.
Since I am a beginner, I think I would need to focus on grammar, conversation, vocabulary, definitely pronunciation , perhaps some writing too.
I am studying full time in university now, but I will definitely be willing to dedicate a lot of time learning cantonese first, then mandarin. I'd be willing to dedicate 1 or 2 hours a day, 2 or 3 times a week for lessons, 1 hour every day of the week, or as the teacher sees fit, then we'd have to arrange the times according to my university schedule.
Qualities in a teacher don't really matter to me, as long as they are patient and are really willing to teach cantonese. I'd like the lessons to have a progressive difficulty, pronunciation practice, listening, pretty much whatever it takes to achieve a fluent cantonese in 1 or 2 years.

I am a 17 year old student living in Toronto for the month of September. I am currently taking a gap year and plan to travel to China for 3 months. I have virtually NO experience whatsoever in Mandarin, but would like to cram as many possible lessons in as short a time as mentally possible (ideally 4/hours or + per day, weekends and weekdays). It is my intention to gain a foundation in the Mandarin language before going on my expedition. I would like to enroll starting as soon as possible to the 31st of September
I am looking for a teacher who can commit to as much teaching time as possible, who is a native Mandarin speaker, and who is easy going and affable.
