In 1991 I completed an MA, Honours in Mandarin Chinese; after that I worked in China for around 18 months. I would like to improve my Chinese - spoken, reading and listening comprehension . My english level is intermediate. I have to improve my conversation english. Because, I thought it was ok, but when I arrived to Glasgow a week ago, I felt, like all my years studing english were time lost! I also may check my grammar. Having spent a gap year in Hong Kong I decided that I wanted to continue my interest in China by learning Mandarin at university. I am planning to spend a years study at the Shanghai Teacher's University next year.
