I want to learn hindi because my family is Indian and everyone who spoke hindi are dead. The only person who knows some hindi is my father and it's not enough to have a conversation. I want to embrace my indian side, while also having an advantage of knowing another language when I do go out into the work force. I am at a beginner level. I would like dedicate atleast an hour to my language lessons. I am not looking for a type of quality in my teacher or lessons. All that I ask is that the teacher is patient with me.

I'd love to learn Hindi (along with multiple other languages) for the fun of it. Communication is important throughout every country and I'd like to get to know all types of people from all over the world and I plan to travel to plenty of places in the future. I'm a beginner in Hindi so I need a lot of learning to do. I mainly plan on focusing on conversation/ speaking as opposed to reading and writing. I'd love to be able to understand Hindi movies and especially music, and speak/underst and people fluent in Hindi in person, of course.
I believe I'd feel more comfortable with a female teacher that'd video chat, as it's closer to feeling like in-person learning.
I' d like for my teacher to be creative with her teaching and maybe incorporate music into teaching. Patience would be nice but I'd really like to try and progress/lear n fast, so whatever the teacher can do to make that happen would be great.

I am hindu Punjabe, i can speak broken punjabi not fluent at all. I grew up speaking english all the time. Since having my own children i dont want them to be like me not knowing their mother tongue. Ideally i would like to learn punjabi fluently so i get converse taking to people if they speak hindi to me aswell. Ideally I would like to talk to my tutor on the phone everyday for an hour, to assist my sentence structure, someone who understands both hindi and punjabi. My flaw lies in having a detailed conversation which i would like to practise and improve.
