It has been about 3yrs since I last took lv. 3 japanese in high school. Sadly, I didnt keep up with the language with dealing with collage but since this year (2008) my younger has taken lv.1 and I had helping with his homework and 'rediscovered ' my joy in learning the language.
for personal enjoy ment and love for the culture is the main reason for wanting to learn the language.
I also have 3 years of french. My main thing is that I'm stubborn and some what upset that I didnt learn french from neither of my parents because they lost the language early one. they could not even help me with basic french home work. I also wish to learn the language to hopefully live in france for a few years and develop my art.
For both languages, I tend to listen to music and online publications so punctuation and ease of listen are not a problem with me. I'm more likley to remember something that I 'hear' then read. I prefere to use 'real media' and not work books so that I can get used to 'challenges' that may accure in real life situations.
I'm realy into culture so that would be a nice addition. Especially in the differences in language that is often 'lost in translation'.
My grammer has never been good in any language including english. So please forgive me in being slow in that area, including misspelling. However, I realy would like to eventually become fluent in writting and reading.
I am a working collage student with both a part time and freelance illustrator. I only make just over 100$ a week, so even though I'd like to spend as much time as possible with a teacher, I have to keep in budget in both paying for these lessons and paying for school. I am still willing to buy additional materials with prior notice.
My current time avalible is any time after 2pm M-Th.
It does not have to be a set time. Just the day before, email me the time you wish to come. Homework is fine with me so long as its not 'busy' work. My location is in the neighborhood entrance called 'hidden springs' at the end of Hawassie of Conroy intersection. less then 2 miles from Universal studios. I'd like to meet with in 5 miles radius of that area. Not in mall areas (too much traffic) either in library, bookstore or Valencia Campus.
