I have accepted a job as an expat in Bangkok for two years and would like to be able to speak Thai. I will be a beginner. My only language is English. I am thinking of receiving personal tuition of 2-4 hrs per week, with other homework, CD's etc. My initial visit to Thailand will be one week late August, then full time from Jan 2006

Having travelled in Barcelona the last 2 years I have a tiny knowledge of the Catalan language, not being able to speak any apart from bare essentials ie ask for directions, order food but have spent time listeninng to it and pronounciatio n. Having fallen in love with the city I plan to try living there in the next 2 years and need to learn conversationa l skills mainly as I plan to work in a bar. I would like to be able to study twice a week, perhaps one day and one night.
Hav ing studied a little Italian I realise I need one or one lessons with a teacher who is prepared to explain in English and then rehash a number of times. I would also appreciate being able to contact them when studying independently . Most importanly, I'd like the lessons to have a 'social' feel so they feel more practical.

I have returned to Melbourne after living in Japan for about 8 years. Currently I hold Level 3 in the Proficiency test and would like to improve.
I am also wanting to study further to improve my career prospects. Specifically I want to study keigo, an area I am very weak in. My grammar is also weak.
Init ially, I would like lessons once a week and am looking for a native Japanese teacher who has had some experience teaching privately. Someone who is flexible with dates would also be great.
