I am a beginner who has tried to teach myself, but I desire to make greater progress, which I know I will with a Japanese tutor.
I want to learn Japanese so I can go to Japan on an extended stay. I am highly motivated and eager to learn the language. I would put in at least 3 hours a week [including the tutoring session(s)].
I desire a tutor who is polite and patient and who can sometimes see the humor in things. I am especially interested in learning conversationa l Japanese, spoken as well as written.

I am a complete beginner when it comes to French. I will be going on a short mission trip to Congo at the end of June, and I'd love to attain basic, conversationa l proficiency before then.
