I have never learnt sign language, but i have always been fascinated by it. It is amazing how people seem to be able to communicate everything they want to say, without even having to talk. I would really like to be able to do that. I would like to dedicate up to 2 hours a week to my language lessons.

Hi, my name's Jodie. I am eager to learn cantonese fluently. My boyfriend is cantonese and both of his parents cannot speak english very well, and I would love to understand and have a conversation with them. There are no cantonese courses offered in Melbourne and its frustrating me trying to find someone to teach me. I know a little bits and pieces, but only words and have no idea how to put them all together in order to have a proper conversation. Please help me.

More than a beginner but still don't understand some beginner concepts. Teaching self by books, internet and audio program but teaching yourself often teaches bad habits which I may have done :-) I am learning mandarin because it fascinates me and I am looking for probably an hour a week to supplement my personal study. I don't mind what sort of teacher I have as long as they are friendly.
