I am a beginner and would like to learn the language for a couple of reasons. First and foremost for business and advancement, plus the anticipated increase in dealings with China. Secondly out of genuine interest for the language. I would need to learn the language from scratch. Time is questionable, however would like some flexibility as I do have a full time job. I guess the qualities that I am seeking are patience, experience and someone who has experience with day to day conversation and business conversations .

No experience with Mandarin. I have a passion for Chinese culture and history, and would very much like to visit the country one day. It would be especially helpful for me to learn Mandarin, since it is the most used dilect of Chinese today.

I am a beginner in all three languages for which I have indicated an interest. I am prepared to spend atleast one hour per week on each of my selected languages. I also have large blocks of time available which would permit me to pursue lessons fulltime over the period of a week. I would like to learn these languages so that I may travel overseas comfortably for extended periods. I am looking for someone with exacting standards who will challenge me to work hard.
