I am looking for a mothertongue Greek language teacher who can provide regular lessons for me and my partner in the evenings or weekends over the next few months or until March 07. We are more or less beginners although we visit Corfu regularly and can understand some basic words and the intonation.

I am a beginner in the Greek language. I have been travelling to Greece for the last 15 years and still only know a handful of words. I have many Grecian friends and would enjoy being able to have a conversation with them in their own language.
I would like to dedicate 2 hours a week to my lessons. The qualities I am looking for in my teacher is that their native language is Greek as a feel that I would get a better understanding of the language from them rather than from someone who is not from their.

My partner is Greek and I want to be able to converse with the family when I go to Athens
I would like to be able to hold a proper conversation rather than just asking for the milk or saying good morning!!
I want 1 or 2 hours per week with work to do in my own time in between ie self study exercises
I want to be taught in a way where I will be able to talk greek and understand what people are saying to me. It is less important to be able to write in greek
