I have been attending medical school in Hungary and have been dating an Icelandic woman. She has been teaching me bit by bit throughout the last 6 months, but I am really looking for some formal lessons. I know how to form basic sentences and many verbs. I am looking for lots of practice in speaking and hearing as well as increasing my vocabulary. I would like to do a few hours a week over the next 7 - 8 weeks and potentially much longer

I am a beginner in terms of learning Icelandic but I have until May 2010 before I leave to Reykjavik for a three month residency. I am a Visual Artist from Montreal and I do speak English, Spanish and German so I hope my learning curve will be quick and I can hold a conversation in Icelandic with some private tutoring.
