Description |
I want to further develop my Mandarin and learn Japanese to have a competative edge in the job market. Also, I am slightly embarassed that though I am Chinese, I can't read/write. I have a deep interest in Japanese culture and business.
I speak Mandarin at a basic conversationa l level. I am a complete beginner in Japanese.
I need to improve my reading/writi ng in Mandarin as well as my vocabulary. I need to learn everything in Japanese.
I would like to dedicate 2 hours in tutoring time per week to each language. I would, of course, study at home as well.
The tutor should be friendly, proficient, respectful, reliable, and accessible.

Description |
I'm learning Japanese, because I am really interested in the culture and I'd like to study film in Tokyo. I'm a beginner, I know hiragana, katakana, and a handfull of kanji. I really would like to learn about grammar, sentence structure, and just how to have a conversation in japanese. I'd like to dedicate as much time as possible to my language learning, I am very serious about it. In my Japanese teacher I'd look only for patience and knowledge.

Description |
I would like to learn how to speak better Japanese to become an intern for Labo in Japan. I would be in Japan for a year.
I would consider myself a beginner. I only had a chance to pick up a few phrases during my homestay in Japan.
I could easily study the words, but I do not know how to put them together in a sentence.
I don't have alot of money, but I would be willing to spend near $20 for an hour.
I'm just hoping that the teacher will be patient, and teach me useful phrases that will help me live in Japan for one year.

Description |
My proficiency level for Japanese is semi-beginner because I have been trying to learn some key phrases and pronunciation for a few years now in preparation for my dream job. My level for Korean is absolute beginner; I can only say hello.
I'm trying to learn Japanese and Korean so that one day I can go live in Japan and be either a teacher or a translator. I really love listening to these two languages and am very eager to learn them.
As for my Japanese, I need improvement in conversation and some vocabulary. I have fairly good pronunciation and grammar already. However, with Korean, I'll need everything, starting with the basics.
I am able and willing to take lessons nearly every day of the week and almost at any hour of the day.
I would like a hands-on kind of teacher for my lessons, one who will help me along instead of just handing me a book and a dictionary. I learn better by speaking and doing than just reading.

I have always wanted to learn japanese, I am a big fan of anything japanese and have been collecting anime and manga since I was twelve. I now have to chance to go to japan by april or may of next year for certain and I hope to learn enough of the japanese language to speak and understand anyone I'm talking to. I just wish to learn the language, the writing such as katakana and kanji I would prefer to learn another time. I am a beginner but I can pronouce any japanese word I see when it's written in english, and know a few words by heart. A quality that I am looking for in my teacher would be that they have patient with me and help me to achieve my goal. As for time needed I wouldn't know how much time I need until my level can really be assessed. Th ank you for your time.
