I am seeking a private tutor for French lessons. There will be two students being myself and my partner. Ideally the tutor will be able to come to our home, but this is negotiable. We are learning French as we are travelling to France at the start of December this year (2010), our main goal is to have a conversationa l level of French to be able to travel on our own. Once we have travelled to France the focus would then shift to building a formal knowledge of the French language, grammar etc, as we would like to learn the language properly.
We are both beginners, we have taken French 1A at the CAE which is 24 hours of group classes.
W e would take one or two lessons per week depending on the price.
We seek a teacher that is a native speaker and has an up to date knowledge of the language.

I want to learn Dutch and become fluent because I have a strong passion for Holland, it's people culture and language. I have holidayed there and even worked short term over there, but I want to go back for a longer period.
I would consider myself a Beginner but have had exposure.
I want to improve on my grammar and be able to converse more.
I can't put a time frame to learning the language but I believe consistent exposure and practice will serve me well.
I would like my teacher(s) to be fluent in the language, have an understanding of Dutch culture, motivated for me to succeed and has a teaching style that is both enjoyable and effective.

i am learning portuguese due to my partners family is portuguese and i plan to travel in a few years and it will be an advantage. i am at a biginners level and i am mainly interested in communication and leaning how to have conversations , im looking to spend about an hour a week on learning as i am a full time student as it is. i am looking for a teacher that is great in the communication with portuguese as most of my use for the language will be to speak it. i am a full time student so i am looking for private lessons for about $15-$35 an hour.
