Why am I learning foreign languages?
I have an interest in learning languages for an unexplainable reason, other than I know I have a habit of gravitating towards them.
Prof iciency Level:
Beginner Mandarin(work ing knowledge of approximately 600-800 characters)- I am working towards taking the HSK
Basic Japanese
Basic-Int ermediate French (french immersion K-3 and french classes from 4-9)
Other Languages of interest:
Ja panese, German, Spanish, Russian, Afrikaans, and Korean
Are as I feel I need particular improvement on: grammar, writing, conversation, and confidence
How much time do I wish to dedicate to my language lessons: I would like classes to be either once a week for two hours or twice a week for one hour on evenings and weekends.
What qualities am I looking for in my language teacher?
Ide ally, I would love to have a teacher with great experience, patience, easy-going, and organized.
Price Range: $10-12/hr (I`m a poor student)

I have always been interested in French, especially the culture, movies and food. It is easily the most beautiful and romantic language to me. I would like to be able to converse in French easily, and would like to one day retire in the South of France. My husband can speak the language but is not patient enough to teach me. It would also be convenient to be proficient for work purposes. I need to find someone who is patient, flexible, fun, motivating, able to share the French customs and culture, and able to work with my schedule as I might also travel. I lived in the UK and moved to the US, and now living in Singapore on an undetermined length of time due to my husband's job. While I am a complete beginner I have the passion to learn and would ideally do a crash course due to my time limitations in Singapore. I hope to get started as soon as possible.
