I am a beginner with tagalog, but would like to bring myself to being fluent so I can understand and converse fully. I have a huge interest and respect in the filipino culture, and I feel that this is the next logical step. I am willing to put in as much time as necessary in order to make this happen for me. I can not really speak Tagalog except for a few phrases and words. I wish to learn Tagalog because I am half-Filipino and I want to eventually move to the Philippines and perhaps go into showbiz. I want to become conversant in Tagalog more than I want to understand grammar. I would like to spend around three hours a day. As long as my teacher helps me learn the language then I am fine with them.
I will probably be moving to Iloilo in September so I don't know if I should contact you then or what, but I thought I would get a head start on things.
