I have taken 4 years of French in high school and tried one year in college. I love the language and the way you need to move your tounge. I need to brush up on the language because I am planning a trip to Paris in January. I hope to get through the trip without stressing out because of a language barrier. I'm not sure what I really need help with, maybe my tutor can assess that when we meet. I will use it for conversation though. I can dedicate up to 20 hours a week to learning french. In a teacher I need honesty and hard work..humor is good too.

Proficiency level: Strong intermediate? I read fairly easily, can carry on a one-on-one conversation (though I have trouble in a group setting of native speakers), and understand some French radio or TV (though I miss a lot).
I am learning for my own pleasure.
I'd like to focus on conversation, but will also have questions on whatever I happen to be reading at the time.
I currently spend about an hour most mornings over coffee reading French. I'd like lessons of an hour a week.
I'm looking for a well educated native speaker.
M y husband reads French, but does not speak it. He is also looking for a tutor.
