I am wanting to learn to speak and write Arabic i am a beginner.
Th e reason for wanting to learn is because i have many muslim friends who speak Arabic and its hard for them to understand my english and the little arabic that ive self learnt and also I also want to learn Arabic as I would like to convert religion to Islam.
I feel it would be best to learn from the begining as my arabic so far is only basic hello,goodbye ,how are you and numbers 1 to 10 so the arears required would be all.
Time I have pleanty of that to put into a lesson as being disabled and unable to work so the amout of time I could put into the lessen would be totally dependent on cost.
The Qualities im looking for in a teacher is that they are patient and understanding .

I have taken modern standard Arabic (fusha) for one semester at the University of Leeds and for 6 weeks (intensive course) at the Lebanese American University in Beirut. I also lived in Beirut for five months and have therefore learnt some Lebanese dialect Arabic.
This is the area I would like to work on further - Levantine dialect Arabic (Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine) for conversationa l purposes. However I would also like to work on my MSA reading skills with a view to being able to read Arab newspapers.
