I am looking for a mandarin teacher for my son who is five years old. I prefer someone who could teach writing, conversation, and songs to make it fun. He has been taking lessons already for a year learning songs and writing. I would like a tutor once a week. I would like to learn this language just because I am a business student majoring in finance working at an institution that deals mostly with chinese clients. I have no background knowledge in mandarin therefore i would be at the beginner level. areas i feel i need particular improvement are pretty much everything since i don't know anything at all about speaking chinese. i would dedicate as much time as my tutor believed i needed. i would be okay with one 2 hr class a week or hour classes spilt up during the week. i just want a teacher who is able to explain to me how to speak or write. i want them to be patient and understanding and not quick to dismiss me if i don't understand the material right away. i want to learn it and i will eventually i just would like someone who will help me every step of the way. thank you
