I am contacting you in behalf of my wife. She is a native Chinese citizen who now resides in the Philadelphia area with me. She is very eager to learn English so that she can better communicate with US citizens, myself and to enter the work-force when she receives her worker's card. She knows very little English (though she is learning some with casual conversation) . Learning English is her top priority right now and would like to start quickly and immerse herself in her studies. We would both like a patient teacher who is fluent in both Mandarin and English. I think i am an advanced learner, I have lived many years in english speaking countries and i get by with pretty good fluency. (like people know what i mean when i say things) but i am very clumsy with spoken english particularly with my gramma and expressions when telling stories or describing a situation. this is something that i really want to work on. I would also like to learn more slang for conversations so i can be more personable.
like i said - i am clumsy with the language and i am looking for someone who is patient with this problem - there may be alot of practice and repetition required for me to make progress.
could you help?
